About Aotearoa Labs
Independent software from New Zealand, built around curiosity, clarity, and real needs.
OUR STORY / 01
Aotearoa Labs brings together software that might otherwise look unrelated: a maths adventure, a Windows gaming utility, an industrial communications tool, two open-source CAD bridges, a hands-on 3D-printing and prototyping business, and a new interactive STEM learning experience for children.
The connection is practical. Every product begins with a real problem and aims to make the next step clearer, calmer, and more enjoyable for the person using it. We prefer focused tools, honest explanations, and ownership-friendly pricing over unnecessary complexity.
Quality3Ds shows the same approach beyond software alone: understand the geometry and material, build and test the part, then create the website, automatic estimate workflow, and automated information systems that help the business operate—with agentic development tools helping turn those ideas into working systems.

The next chapter
The upcoming Visual STEM Lab started with the founder's son. The goal is to help a 9–12-year-old understand foundational science and computer science through problem solving, animation, and interaction—not passive screen time.
Biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science now have separate learning tracks. Each short lesson starts with a question, lets the learner test an idea, and responds immediately to what they do. That personal starting point remains the test for every feature: is it clear, engaging, and good enough for our own child?
