Model with features
Create and edit sketches, bosses, cuts, revolves, sweeps, lofts, patterns, sheet-metal features, and more.
AI-assisted CAD · Early alpha
An open-source MCP bridge that lets agentic coding tools—including Codex, Claude Code, and other compatible clients—inspect, build, edit, analyse, and verify real SOLIDWORKS models.
Overview
SolidPilot connects MCP-capable agentic coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code to a local SOLIDWORKS 2026 session. It translates higher-level CAD intent into controlled feature operations while keeping SOLIDWORKS as the source of truth.
The current early-alpha toolkit covers part modelling, inspection, drawings and exports, an initial assembly workflow, simulation helpers, batch execution, and an experimental feature-graph compiler for reproducible builds.
SolidPilot is an independent open-source project. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by Dassault Systèmes or SOLIDWORKS.
What it does
Create and edit sketches, bosses, cuts, revolves, sweeps, lofts, patterns, sheet-metal features, and more.
Read topology and mass properties, capture views, and check the real model after each operation.
Create drawing views, run supported simulation helpers, and export common CAD and document formats.
Batch execution and the experimental Feature Graph compiler provide a path toward reproducible CAD builds.
